London Eye 

It doesn’t get more iconic than this - why not watch the sky turn a mesmerising shade of orange from the unique vantage point of one of the London Eye’s pods? Time it right and you will be able to snap incredible pictures as the sun goes down from high in the sky.

Waterloo Bridge 

If you’re feeling creative and want to get an impressive photo that truly represents the city, position yourself on Waterloo Bridge and await the spectacular show. Here you will get the perfect silhouette of the iconic London Eye and Big Ben, with the beautiful skies as a backdrop.

Richmond Park

The largest of London’s Royal Parks, Richmond Park is a pleasure to visit all year round and indeed, at any time of day, but as the day draws to a close the picturesque surroundings of this West London park are particularly special. As you admire the changing colours of the skyline, you can also spot wandering deer through the grassy plains. The trek up the grass incline isn’t for the faint-hearted but your efforts will be instantly rewarded with the sweeping vistas. Our top tip is to visit on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds.

Greenwich royal observatory 

As the name suggests, this location is ideal for drinking in the surrounding vistas. After exploring the rose garden and perfectly manicured grounds, head up to the actual observatory for a breathtaking city scene. Stay after sundown to survey the enchanting night sky with the telescopes provided.

Sky Garden

If alfresco isn’t for you and you’d prefer to view nature’s wondrous daily routine under cover, a trip to London’s Sky Garden could be just the ticket. Entry to the 35th floor of 20 Fenchurch Street is free, you just need to book in advance. The botanical surroundings and panoramic views make for the most Instagram-worthy scenes.
