Carlo Cracco has been named Chef Partner of Corinthia Rome, a new five-star luxury property that international hotel developer Corinthia Hotels will open in the Italian capital in spring 2024. The internationally acclaimed chef will conceive and develop the food and beverage offering of the luxury hotel’s restaurant, bringing for the first time its unique culinary approach to Rome in an exceptional location on Piazza del Parlamento.

Conceived to become one of the most exclusive destinations on the Roman scene, Corinthia Rome will occupy a seven-floor building that was originally built in 1914 to house the Bank of Italy. A site featuring an outstanding cultural heritage, the palazzo will maintain its original façade overlooking the Parliament of Italy, while inside it will be entirely redesigned to offer the best in terms of hospitality, design, food and beverage, and guest services.

Corinthia Rome will be Corinthia Hotel’s first property in Italy, along with the restaurant that will be managed by Carlo Cracco, the Roman hotel will count 60 guest rooms, a bar, a lobby lounge, as well as a Spa and a gym. A open-air garden courtyard will also enable guests to enjoy Rome’s mild climate at its best.

 

About Carlo Cracco

Born in Vicenza in 1965, Carlo Cracco is an internationally acclaimed chef. Cracco cut is teeth with some of the most renewed chefs in the world, including Gualtiero Marchesi in Milan, as well as Alain Ducasse and Lucas Carton in Paris. After holding the role of chef at high-end restaurants, including Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, l’Albereta close to Brescia and Le Clivie in the Piedmont region, in 2001 he co-founded with the Stoppani family the Cracco-Peck Restaurant, that Cracco fully acquired in 2007.Host of DInner Club, a program that guides viewers on a journey through Italy to discover some of the country’s culinary wonders and traditions. Cracco developed a series of collaborations with a rage of companies, including Trenitalia and Garage Italia Milano. In 2018, Cracco moved its namesake restaurant to a new upstanding location inside Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where he also inaugurated a café-bistrot, a wine cellar and a private space for events. In 2021, the chef opened Cracco Portofino, a scenic gastro restaurant facing the Gulf of Portofino. Cracco has recently inaugurated an e-commerce offering an international clientele a wide range of food specialties, wines and spirits reflecting the highest quality standards on the market.

Today Carlo Cracco holds the role of president of the Maestro Martino Association, a non-profit association whose main objective is to promote the Signature Cuisine and the excellence of our territory. For years she has been a testimonial and collaborates with IFAD, a specialized UN agency that deals with the spike of agricultural activities, enabling poor rural populations to achieve greater food security, improve the quality of their nutrition and strengthen their ability to adapt.
