Reservations Agent

The Reservations Agent plays a key role in converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, whilst ensuring an exceptional and personalised experience for each guest. The agent handles all reservation-related communications promptly and professionally, whether via phone, email, or other channels. This includes managing new bookings, amendments, cancellations and special requests with care and efficiency.
As a first point of contact, the agent’s demeanour reflects the standards of the hotel - professionalism, warmth, and a strong attention to detail are essential attributes in delivering the Corinthia experience.
Key responsibilities
Guest experience & service

Anticipate guest needs and provide personalised, attentive service during all reservation interactions

Deliver memorable and proactive support throughout the booking journey
Sales & revenue optimisation
-
Adopt a sales-focused approach to upsell hotel services and facilities
-
Maximise occupancy and room rates while supporting direct bookings to minimise third-party costs
Reservations management
-
Accurately input, manage and update reservations across all channels
-
Handle modifications, cancellations, and no-shows efficiently

Ensure OTA (Online Travel Agent) extranets are current and aligned with internal systems
Knowledge & communication
-
Maintain in-depth knowledge of room types, hotel amenities, packages, and policies

Stay informed on competitor offerings and share relevant information with guests and internal departments
Operational excellence

Monitor availability, track deposits and ensure quality checks on bookings
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date guest profiles to support personalised service
Collaboration

Work closely with the front office, sales and other departments to ensure seamless operations

Share relevant booking information to support guest experience across departments
Standards & compliance

Follow departmental procedures and uphold service benchmarks, including quality standards such as mystery call scores

Comply with all hotel safety and conduct protocols
Efficiency & improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance reservation procedures

Contribute ideas that improve efficiency and guest satisfaction
Reporting & documentation

Keep thorough records of all guest correspondence and departmental communications
Support & flexibility

Provide assistance to other departments during high-demand periods as required

Perform any other duties assigned by management in support of hotel operations
Skills & experience
-
Fluent in both written and spoken English
-
Previous experience using Opera PMS is required

Familiarity with OTAs and other hotel systems is an advantage

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Proven ability to prioritise tasks and work with minimal supervision

Graduate in hospitality management, tourism & travel, or a related discipline
