An exceptional opportunity awaits as one of our hotels in St Julian’s seeks a new Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the Cluster Director of Finance, the successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, ensuring profitability, cost control and budget compliance in line with company standards.
Tasks and involvements:
- Prepare the monthly management accounts
- Liaise with Department Heads regarding finance standards & policies
- Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and regulations
- Assist with the compilation of budgets/ forecasts and other financial reports
- Prepare all month-end accruals and prepayments and any other General Ledger
- Journals in line with the month-end closing
- Reconcile the Balance Sheet and bank accounts monthly
- Prepare statutory Returns including VAT
The ideal candidate:
- Will have knowledge of an experience with accounting, purchasing, and Front Office management software and Point of Sales systems (preferably SUN Accounts, ADACO, Opera, Micros Symphony and Indigo)
- Will be analytical and driven to initiate new ideas or plans
- Will have a strong and confident personality, coupled with the ability to work as part of a team
- Will not need to have previous hospitality experience; however, it is preferred
