The Spa Receptionist at THE SPA by Corinthia Lisbon is responsible for orchestrating a seamless and luxurious guest experience from the moment an appointment is booked to the guest’s departure. As the first point of contact, the Spa Receptionist ensures a warm welcome, smooth check-in and effortless coordination of treatments, embodying the highest standards of service.

This role is pivotal in creating a tranquil and stress-free environment, acting as the key liaison between guests and the spa team. With a focus on personalised service and meticulous attention to detail, the Spa Receptionist guarantees an exceptional journey tailored to each guest’s needs, ensuring their visit is both relaxing and memorable.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome guests with a friendly, professional demeanor, setting the tone for a luxurious spa experience
  • Efficiently manage spa bookings, including scheduling, confirmations, and modifications, using spa management software
  • Provide guests with detailed and knowledgeable information about spa services, treatments, packages, and promotions
  • Handle all guest communications - via phone, email, and in-person - in English, French and Spanish with professionalism and clarity
  • Assist guests with seamless check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy in billing and payment processing
  • Maintain a pristine and well-organised reception area to uphold the spa’s ambiance and standards
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, spa attendants, and the wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Proactively upsell treatments, retail products and packages to elevate the guest experience and maximise revenue
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and a positive resolution

Health & safety

  • Ensure awareness of and compliance with safe working practices as outlined in the Health and Safety Act and applicable workplace regulations. This includes understanding any specific hazards present in the work environment
  • Wearing appropriate protective clothing, as provided or recommended by the Company, is mandatory
  • Report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Immediately report any accidents involving staff, guests, or visitors, following the correct procedures
  • Attend mandatory Fire, Health, and Safety training and maintain full knowledge of and adherence to all related rules and protocols

 

Experience

  • Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a luxury spa, hospitality, or wellness setting

Skills & knowledge

  • Fluency in English, French and Spanish (verbal and written). Additional languages are a plus.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in using booking and scheduling systems (Book4Time, or similar)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
