Oversees the marketing strategy for Corinthia Lisbon, taking a creative and innovative approach to enhance, develop, and generate a commercial return on all online and offline marketing activity.
This role ensures adherence to Corinthia Brand Guidelines, acting as a guardian of the brand’s identity. All creative work, whether print or digital, must align with the agreed brand look and feel while reflecting the distinctive essence of Corinthia Lisbon.
The role also includes the management of the Marketing Team.
Key Responsibilities
- A Strategic Approach – Define, create, and implement the marketing strategy for Corinthia Lisbon and its outlets by developing a marketing channel plan to deliver brand campaigns across print and digital platforms.
- Digital Demand Generation Activity – Take overall responsibility for the commercial performance of the brand website and other marketing distribution channels. Develop and drive a digital marketing strategy that is demand-generating, revenue-focused, and innovative, positioning Corinthia Lisbon as a digital leader in the luxury sector.
- Partnership Marketing – Develop and manage relationships with relevant partners that align with the brand’s values and bring commercial benefits to the company. Ensure that all service level agreements are met and executed in a timely manner.
- Brand Guardian – Oversee the graphic design function, ensuring all marketing and promotional materials maintain a coherent brand identity. Lead the development of new creative ideas to continuously strengthen the brand, including merchandising for Corinthia products.
- Innovation – Take an innovative approach to all marketing activities. Evaluate and implement new digital initiatives while ensuring resources are in place for ongoing operations. Continuously assess current marketing tools and explore new, creative ways to engage with customers.
- Customer Focused – Ensure that Corinthia Lisbon meets the needs of its current and future guests. Develop a deep understanding of customer behaviour and tailor marketing and advertising efforts to effectively communicate with and attract the target audience.
- Comprehensive Marketing Plan – Create and implement a detailed, innovative marketing plan to drive revenue and establish Corinthia Lisbon as a leader in the industry.
- Budgeting and Purchasing – Act as a central point for budgeting and purchasing across all aspects of the marketing mix, ensuring seamless execution with the Marketing Team and external agencies.
- Maximising Marketing Opportunities – Take a strategic and creative approach to exploring and capitalising on marketing opportunities for Corinthia Lisbon and its outlets.
- Brand Integrity – Ensure consistency across all brand collateral, photography, and other visual representations of the Corinthia brand.
- Team Management – Lead, motivate, and develop the Marketing Team, ensuring they remain engaged and inspired.
- Collaboration with Sales – Foster strong collaboration between the marketing and sales teams to align efforts and achieve revenue goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Chair regular marketing meetings, keeping key stakeholders informed of market trends and upcoming developments.
- Industry Insights – Stay up to date with trends and innovations in the hospitality industry, particularly in online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices.
- Market Analysis – Continuously analyse market conditions to identify opportunities for business growth and implement effective strategies to capitalise on them.
- Competitor Awareness – Monitor competitor activity, understanding their marketing strategies and sources of business to maintain a competitive edge.
- Profitability & Cost Control – Identify ways to improve department profitability, control resource wastage, and optimise utility usage.
- Internal Communication – Ensure clear and effective communication within the department, keeping the Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) informed of any issues or queries.
- Issue Resolution – Report any problems or complaints to the DOSM.
- Training & Development – Attend departmental training sessions and meetings as required.
- Interdepartmental Coordination – Work closely with other departments to maintain good communication and offer marketing support where necessary.
- Company Policies – Be fully conversant with the Corinthia Employee Handbook.
- Operational Support – Assist the hotel operation during peak demand periods.
- Uphold Corinthia Values – Promote and embody the values and philosophy of Corinthia Hotels.

Health & Safety
- Comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and relevant workplace regulations. This includes awareness of any specific hazards.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing as provided or recommended by the company.
- Report any defects in the building, equipment, or facilities according to hotel procedures.
- Ensure that any accidents involving staff, guests, or visitors are reported immediately following correct procedures.
- Attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and be fully conversant with and adhere to all related regulations.
As the hotel’s level of business fluctuates, flexibility in attitude, approach, and working hours is required.

Talent Profile
Experience
- Previous experience in a 5-star luxury hotel or the luxury sector.
- Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role.
- Experience in e-commerce, SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other digital campaigns with a focus on performance and brand awareness.
- Experience in brand management for hotels, spas, and restaurants.
- Strong understanding of consumer behaviour and hospitality trends.
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Effective time management and organisational abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Extensive knowledge of marketing functions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.

Requirements
- International Diploma in Business and Hospitality (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
