Oversees the marketing strategy for Corinthia Lisbon taking a creative and innovative approach to enhance, develop and generate a commercial return on all online and offline marketing activity.

This role oversees the guardianship of the Corinthia Brand Guidelines, ensuring any creativity be it print or digital adheres to the agreed brand look and feel but also reflects the distinctive soul of Corinthia Lisbon.

The role oversees the management of the Marketing Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • A Strategic Approach - Responsible for defining, creating and implementing the marketing strategy for Corinthia Lisbon and its outlets by devising a marketing channel plan to deliver brand campaigns across print and digital platforms.
  • Digital demand generation activity - Overall responsibility for the commercial performance of the brand website and other marketing distribution channels. Responsible for creating and driving a digital marketing strategy that its demand generating, revenue focused and innovative, making Corinthia Lisbon a digital leader in the luxury sector.
  • Partnership Marketing – To develop and manage relationships with all relevant partners that are beneficial to the company and are “on brand”. Also ensuring that any service level agreements are met and executed in a timely manner.
  • The Brand Guardian - Direct management and responsibility of the graphic design function, developing all marketing and promotional creative to ensure a coherent brand identity is consistently applied to the highest standard while developing new creative ideas to continuously drive the brand forward i.e. merchandising for Corinthia products.
  • Innovation – To take an innovative approach across all marketing activities. To ensure that implications of new digital initiatives are understood and fully resourced for ongoing operations. To continuously re-evaluate current marketing tools in use and always be looking for new and innovative ways to interact with our customers.
  • Customer focused - To ensure that Corinthia Hotel is meeting the needs of its current and future clients. It is essential to get into the mind set of these customers and think about their needs. At the same time, ensuring that Corinthia Lisbon is communicating and advertising effectively and uniquely to this desired customer base.
  • To create and implement a comprehensive and innovative marketing plan in order to increase revenue and continue to develop the brand as a leader in the industry.
  • Act as a central budgeting and purchasing point for all aspects of the online and offline marketing mix and coordinates execution with the Marketing team and agencies.
  • To ensure a cunning approach is taken to devise, explore and maximise on all marketing opportunities that are required for Corinthia Lisbon and its ground floor marketing.
  • To ensure brand integrity with collateral, photography and all other physical manifestations of the brand.
  • To manage the Marketing team, ensuring that they are motivated, developed and inspired. 
  • To be a motivator/facilitator and ensure marketing and sales team, work in synchrony towards the revenue goals. 
  • To chair regular Marketing meetings, updating stakeholders on current market trends and future development.
  • To keep abreast of newest trends and innovations in the hospitality industry with a strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.
  • To continually analyse the market conditions as they evolve, identifying opportunities to increase business and assigning appropriate strategies to exploit such opportunities.
  • To maintain awareness of competitor activity, understanding their sources of business and marketing strategies.
  • Generally being alert for opportunities to improve the profitability of the department i.e. through controlling wastage and being responsible for the economy of all utilities and resources.
  • Maintain effective communication within the department and ensure that the DOSM is kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.
  • To report any problems/complaints to the DOSM.
  • To attend any department training sessions and/or meetings required.
  • To liaise with other departments to ensure good communication and offer support.
  • To be fully conversant with the Corinthia Employee Handbook.
  • To support the hotel operation in times of demand.
  • To drive the Corinthia values and philosophy.

Health & Safety

  • To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as stipulated by the Health and Safety Act and as applicable to your place of work. This will include the incumbent’s awareness of any specific hazards at the workplace
  • The wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory
  • To report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hotel procedure
  • To ensure that any accidents to staff, guests or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures
  • To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning: Fire, Health and Safety

As the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours.

Talent profile

Experience

  • Previous experience in a 5-star luxury hotel or in a luxury industry.
  • Previous experience in a similar digital marketing role.
  • Experience in ecommerce, SEO, PPC, Email marketing, and social media.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Portuguese and English
  • Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other digital campaigns with aim for Performance and Awareness
  • Brands Management - Hotel, SPA and three restaurants

Requirements

  • International Diploma in Business and Hospitality (preferably)
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing
