Corinthia Budapest is seeking a Groups & Events Sales Manager to drive revenue growth by securing and managing high-profile events, meetings, exhibitions and weddings in our unrivalled function rooms and iconic Ballroom. Key responsibilities: 
  • Analyse citywide demand and market opportunities, with a particular focus on the US and UK markets
  • Monitor the Budapest and Hungarian market, including competitors, to identify trends and potential business growth
  • Recognise and act on local opportunities to drive revenue
  • Develop strategic sales initiatives using market data, including cold calls, sales blitzes, and regular follow-ups to maximise conversions
  • Maintain and continuously update a client database, ensuring strong and ongoing communication with existing partners
  • Handle all incoming client inquiries, conducting face-to-face meetings, site inspections, and calls to convert leads into bookings
  • Negotiate and finalise contracts in line with company strategies and revenue goals
  • Ensure smooth event execution by providing timely, complete, and accurate information to hotel operational teams
  • Collaborate closely with the Corporate Transient Team to align sales strategies
  • Organise and host familiarisation visits to engage current and prospective clients
  • Represent the Corinthia brand at international fairs and industry events
  • Meet and exceed individual monthly revenue and conversion goals
The ideal candidate: 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hotel sales department
  • A college/university degree in a relevant field
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with strong organisational and communication skills
  • A polished, professional presence with the ability to represent the brand at a corporate level
