Two Restaurant Awards for the Corinthia Beach Resort

07 December 2011

The Grill3301 at the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay and the Ristorante Da Marina at the adjoining Marina Hotel were both presented with awards at the awards ceremony held this week by Definitive(ly) Good Guide.

The 2012 Restaurant Awards announced on the 5th December 2011 at the Restaurant Awards Ceremony Gala Dinner were the result of the 2011 Malta and Gozo Restaurant Survey and included the 150 highest rated eating establishments in Malta and Gozo out of over 1,000 restaurants on the islands.

Two restaurants at the Corinthia Beach Resort each had the privilege of winning a prestigious award.  Grill3301 won a restaurant award that is based on the following criteria: food, service, ambience and also an overall restaurant rating.  Out of 150 restaurants that achieved this result, Grill3301 achieved the very prestigious fourth position overall.

Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay general manager Stuart Chappell commented “Grill3301 continues to go from strength to strength as we strive for excellence I would like to congratulate the team for all their efforts and also thank our loyal clients who continue to vote for us, making this award possible.  We assure all our clients that it remains our priority to continue improving on all levels to continue offering an outstanding experience.”
The Ristorante Da Marina at the Marina Hotel, Corinthia Beach Resort also won an award for the first time.  It was rated as the best restaurant offering vegetarian options, showing that the new menu introduced recently has achieved the result of being more inclusive, offering a wider option to suit all tastes.

A delighted  Reuben Mifsud, general manager of the Marina Hotel, Corinthia Beach Resort said: “We are thrilled to have received this award. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the team for the work they have done to introduce innovative vegetarian options to our established  menu . This award recognises the improvements we are constantly achieving and we thank our customers for voting for us.”

The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Awards are eagerly awaited from year to year by restaurants and diners alike and when a restaurant receives such an award, it brings to fruition all the efforts made throughout the year.
