Saturday, 15th September 2012, is the date in which the activity ‘Lejl f’Casal Fornaro’ is to be held.
On this occasion, one can roam the traditionally-decorated streets of the village renowned for its bread-making, whilst appreciating several exhibitions. Customs and traditions are also reflected in the food items and all the entertainment offered which include drama, traditional shows, folkloristic dance, artistic displays, and agricultural exhibitions.
The old streets of Città Pinto will be transformed into what they once were hundreds of years ago during the Knights’ period using traditional decorations and adornments. Apart from this, the main attractions will surely be the different stages, each one offering live drama, Maltese traditional songs (including Ghana), marches from numerous Maltese bands, and shows by established singers and top local talent. For the second consecutive year, the shelter beneath the police station, which was cleaned and opened for the public for the first time last year by the same organisers, is also going to be exhibited.
This is an opportunity to discover most of the Maltese culture and traditions in just one night, a night in Casal Fornaro.
