Shopping
Prague may not be able to outrank New York, London or Paris in terms of the scale of its designer shopping, but there is a wide variety of outlets serving everything from big-name fashion to exquisite hand-made souvenirs and flea-market curios.
Republic Square and Wenceslas Square offer well-known international brand names and indigenous department store shopping, while authentic artefacts from the much-hated Communist era - Russian army surplus hats, knives and badges et al – are on sale at Lesser Town (Mala Strana) and Old Town Square.
Throughout the city, world-famous Bohemian crystal jostles with hand-made wooden puppets, hand-painted eggs and all manner of handicrafts and folk art and when in doubt, a bottle of Slivovitz makes a good souvenir.
The Corinthia Hotel Prague is only 2 metro stations (approx.5min) from brand new shopping mall Arkady which is full of well-known brand.
Not even 10 min by underground you will reach one of the biggest shopping mall Chodov.
