Corinthia Hotel Budapest, Hosts the 8th annual congress of EPDA.

The Corinthia Hotel Budapest, one of the premier hotels within the Corinthia Hotels collection, has recently hosted the 8th annual congress of EPDA. Over 350 delegates attended a meeting that was packed with activities ranging from motivational speakers, business forums and one to one business sessions aimed at fostering and developing the industry within the world of power transmission distribution. Delegates also had the opportunity to meet Hungarian counterparts through a trade mission promoted by the association.
This year’s EPTDA conference focused on bringing manufactures and their distributers together to explore and discuss the innovations and economical development of the industry. In a comment given by Executive Vice President, Mr. Hans Hanegreefs he said that this year’s event was a record one that attracted delegates from all over Europe, the USA, Canada, Africa and the United Arab Emirates. This has been possible through the proven track record of the Association in acting as a catalyst to promote the industry, as also the careful selection of the venue. Since the event took place in Budapest, which is known for its beauty, history and spas, a good number of spouses accompanied the delegates.
Mr. David Harrow, President of EPTDA, remarked that the success of any event does not only depend on the quality of the programme the organizers prepared, but also on the support that the venue provides, in this case the Corinthia Hotel Budapest and its dedicated staff, who rose to the occasion and contributed immensely to the overall success of the event. He also announced that next year’s annual congress will take place in the beautiful city of Lisbon, where Corinthia Hotels is also present with another landmark luxury conference hotel.
Nicholas Borg, Regional Director of Sales for CHI, operators of the Corinthia Hotel brand, which is present in Budapest, Lisbon, London , Malta, Prague, St. Petersburg, and Tripoli, said that he is proud to work with EPTDA through an affiliation agreement, whereby the association and its members can benefit from a number of tailor-made arrangements for business, incentive and leisure travel.
