The Northall celebrates the "Glorious Twelfth" - the game season starts on August 12

Team GB has won a gold medal for it, Pippa Middleton regularly enjoys it as one of her favourite weekend pursuits and with the country in the second of a two year love affair with ‘Britishness’ it is no surprise that in 2012, shooting is being championed as one of Britain’s most exciting traditions.

On the eve of 12th August, estates across the United Kingdom will prepare for the biggest game hunts of the season.  For those who cannot join a shoot, they can still revel in the tradition by feasting on the delicious game fare as London restaurants prepare to give city dwellers a taste of the countryside. Corinthia London’s quintessentially British restaurant The Northall  is celebrating the start of the British grouse shooting season with a specially devised Glorious Twelfth menu.

With the season starting 12th August, the grouse will be hung for seven days prior to being served at The Northall from 20th August.  Prepared by Executive Chef Garry Hollihead, in keeping with his locally sourced menu, guests will enjoy a three course menu incorporating seasonal produce to complement the flavours of the grouse as they take in the grand surroundings of The Northall restaurant.
