Corinthia Hotels win three 'Malta People Awards'

Corinthia Hotels operator CHI Hotels & Resorts (CHI), together with the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay and the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa, carried off three prestigious ‘2011 Malta People Awards’ organised and presented by the Foundation for Human Resources Development (FHRD).

CHI and the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay both received awards in the Actavis Learning and Development category, while the Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa was awarded in the APS Bank plc Corporate Social Responsibility category.

Held on the 9th of December, the Gala Presentation Night brought about talent and passion for enhancing people management awareness throughout the local business ecosystem. Among seven categories, 19 different organizations operating in Malta applied for 32 awards, oozing professionalism and best practices.

Presenting the awards, FHRD chief executive officer Joe Gerada said “These awards take participants on a journey of human potential and capability.  Achieving an award meant that a company stood out from its competitors and in so doing it demonstrates its high calibre to customers, partners, suppliers, shareholders and prospective employees. This in turn fulfils our mission to promote good Human Resources Management and Development Practices and thus raise the profile of the Human Resources profession in the Maltese Islands.”

Now in their tenth year, The Malta People Awards give due recognition to local projects and initiatives that have transformed and made the biggest contribution to the way people are engaged, managed and developed at their places of work in Malta.
