Corinthia Hotel Lisbon's ‘MEET FOR FREE’ programme back by popular demand.
06 October 2011
The five-star Corinthia Hotel Lisbon, recently awarded the Travel Weekly 2011 Gold Magellan Award for its outstanding business and conference services in the Hotel/Resort Category, has re-launched the highly successful ‘Meet for Free’ business promotion, which offers completely free meeting space for groups of ten rooms or more, booked by January 31, 2012.
Besides a daily theater-style meeting room, the well-priced ‘Meet for Free’ delegate package also includes single accommodation with buffet breakfast, free in-room internet, buffet lunch with two soft drinks and two coffee breaks. On top of this, groups of 25 or more paying guests receive one free standard room and one upgrade to an executive floor, while the meeting organizer is supplied with a pre-programmed mobile phone and free local calls, use of an office for private meetings and a complimentary upgrade to a special ‘Five Senses’ room.
‘Meet for Free’ is backed by Corinthia’s award-winning programme Events at Corinthia. This value added product comprises a variety of facilities and services that assist organisers to plan and hold successful and stress-free events, including a dedicated personal assistant assigned to every conference organiser.
Roderick Micallef, the General Manager of Corinthia Hotel Lisbon said “the ‘Meet for Free’ concept, which we successfully launched in September 2009, provides meeting and event planners with the best value for money, while optimising quality and content. The initiative has received a tremendous response as we support our customers in this very important sector of our business.”
Colleen McCollum, Vice President, Carino Hotels & Resorts, a New York-based company that specialises in the Corporate and MICE market, confirmed the challenge of today’s meeting planners as, “finding destinations exciting enough to attract a large number of delegates, while at the same time are cost effective without compromising on the quality of services.” She added, “We have always had excellent feedback and client satisfaction with all the meetings we have placed at the Corinthia Hotel Lisbon. The pharmaceutical, financial and technology industries have especially found the value that the destination has to offer. Now with the re-launch of the ‘Meet for Free’ promotion, we can continue to reach out to many of our corporate clients who intend holding international meetings this year.”
The luxurious Corinthia Hotel Lisbon is located in the heart of the financial district, a short distance from the historic city centre, as well as the Lisbon International Airport. The modern, stylish hotel offers stunning views of the 18th century Aqueduct and beautiful Monsanto Natural Park. The hotel is owned by Malta-based International Hotel Investments (IHI) and operated by CHI Hotels & Resorts, a joint venture between IHI and the Wyndham Hotel Group.
