Transport

Prague has a cheap and efficient public transport network of buses, trams and a metro, plus a funicular on Petrin Hill, also home to the Observation Tower.

The historic centre is compact and pedestrian-only, but trams offer an inexpensive way of seeing the rest of the city and there is no shortage of downtown metro stations. After midnight, night trams and buses offer a limited service, usually every hour.

Tickets are valid on all modes of public transport but must be bought in advance and validated before each journey. A selection of travel passes is also available and need only be stamped once at the start of a journey.

With much of the city pedestrianised and parking a constant nightmare, seeing places on foot or by public transport is always to be recommended.

How to get from the airport to the hotel by public transport:

Take the bus num.119 from the airport and get off on station Dejvicka. From there take a metro to the station Muzeum where you need to change to the C line. On C line its only 2 stops, the hotel metro stop is called Vysehrad.
